This humble little car show in Southern California just keeps getting better. Quarantine Cruise 8 was no exception. With well over 2,000 cars in attendance and an all-new starting location, this just might have been our favorite one yet.

Quarantine Cruise 8 started at SOCO & The OC Mix in Costa Mesa, California (@socoandtheocmix). The shopping center is normally quiet on any given Sunday morning, but not this weekend. The cruise wouldn’t start until 10:00 AM, but we showed up nice and early with Project ’55 Revive to catch all the cars rolling in. Even arriving two and a half hours early, we still weren’t the first ones there.
As the morning continued, the parking lot kept on filling with classic cars and trucks. Just when we thought everyone who was coming had arrived, more cars kept filling in.
Quarantine Cruise Hits the Road
Once 10:00 AM hit, the cruise began. A quick pair of right hand turns coerced all the vehicles onto the I405 North and onward to Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in Long Beach. From there, participants got to enjoy cruising along a 14-mile stretch of PCH before heading up Beach Boulevard.
The final destination for Quarantine Cruise 8 was the same as every cruise before, ending at the Newland Center in Huntington Beach (@newlandcenterhb, @regencycenters). One might assume that the end would see less cars than the beginning, but that certainly was not the case. An awe-inspiring amount of classic vehicles and spectators were present at both locations.
