Cruise By CPP: 1956 Chevy
Show cars are beautiful and track monsters are exhilarating. But, there’s something so fulfilling about a classic car that is just driven on the streets. Seeing a bright red 1956 Chevy 210 casually cruising through town in 2020 feels special. It’s one of those things that just puts a smile on people’s faces.
David, @flying_a_customs on Instagram, built his 1956 Chevy back in the mid-2000s and has been driving it ever since. Now it is 2020 meaning it’s been on the road for 16 years!
Just because it’s a driver doesn’t mean it’s a slouch. In fact, David’s Tri-Five Chevy consists of a 550 horsepower LS6 and a bunch of CPP goodies underneath. The LS is fed by a CPP Classic-Fit EFI gas tank, steered by a CPP tilt-column, and rides on PTK-4+ suspension.

According to David’s Instagram, it looks like all the CPP parts have outlived the drivetrain. In early summer of 2020 his LS6 let go after 16 years of daily-driver duties. After months of work, David barely got it all back together again in time for Quarantine Cruise 7.
